Conceptual design of the skatepark canopy in Piaseczno
In 2017, we developed a concept for a year-round canopy for the skatepark in Piaseczno.

To meet the needs of the skatepark, a canopy of approximately 1,150 m² was designed, made from PVC membrane coated with PVDF, which ensures durability in all weather conditions and ease of maintenance. The supporting structure, in the form of an arch, was to extend along the axis of the park, allowing the membrane to naturally curve along the east-west axis, thus maximizing access to daylight. The design also provides for the installation of additional lighting under the structure, enabling the skatepark to be used after dark.

The roof is made of a PVC membrane covered with a PVDF coating, which provides resistance to UV and other weather conditions and facilitates maintenance.
The main function of the roof is to protect users and equipment against rain, snow and strong sun, which allows the skate park to be used all year round.
The roof is characterized by an arched supporting structure, which ensures the folding of the membrane and maximizes the access of daylight. The roof is supported by steel poles placed around the perimeter and has a geometric form of a tunnel on the south side.
The roof has an area of approximately 1,150 m² and its maximum height is 13 m.
Does the roof require special care or maintenance?
One of the main challenges was to design a roof structure that would provide effective protection against weather conditions while maintaining the aesthetic appearance and functionality of the facility.
