The roof was designed as a year-round membrane roof over the playground on Ul. General Jerzy Bem 66 in Toruń.

Year: 2019

Location: Toruń

Material: Mehler FR 1400 MEHATOP F – Type IV

Scope: Project execution, construction works, delivery, and installation of membrane roofs

The “Phyllium” project is an innovative membrane roofing implemented in 2019 over the playground located at 66 Gen. Jerzy Bem Street in Toruń. The goal of this investment was to create a space that allows children to play safely outdoors throughout the year, regardless of the weather conditions.

For this project, the material Mehler FR 1400 MEHATOP F – Type IV was selected, known for its high resistance to UV radiation, weather influences, and mechanical damage. It is a PVC-coated polyester fabric, which due to its durability and ease of maintenance, is ideal for use in public areas.

The scope of work included not only planning and delivery of materials but also construction works and the installation of the roof itself. Specialized teams took care of all phases of the project, from initial calculations and planning, through manufacturing, to the final installation of the structure at the playground. All work was carried out with the utmost care to ensure maximum safety and functionality of the roof.

The “Phyllium” canopy not only protects against rain or excessive sun but is also an attractive architectural element. Its modern form and aesthetic appearance enrich the urban space and make the playground an inviting and friendly place for children and parents.

Thanks to this roof, the playground is functional throughout the year, which is particularly important in climates where frequent rainfall and changing weather conditions can restrict outdoor time. The “Phyllium” project allows children to be physically active under comfortable conditions, contributing to their proper development and health.

The canopy over the playground on General Jerzy Bem Street in Toruń is an example of how modern technologies and materials can be used to improve the quality of life for residents and provide them with thoughtful and aesthetically refined architectural solutions.
