Year: 2019

Location: Kędzierzyn – Koźle

Area: 102m2

Material: Guarniflon S.p.a. ETFEs

Construction: Abastran Sp Z. O. O.

General contractor: Abastran Sp Z. O. O.

Scope: Design implementation, delivery and installation of ETFE cushions, design, delivery and installation of an air supply system.

The project of making pillows from ETFE foil in the Activity Center – Wodne oKKo in Kędzierzyn-Koźle from 2019 is a modern example of the use of this technology in Poland. ETFE foil, although still relatively rare in Poland, is becoming more and more popular due to its unique properties, especially in facilities that require UV light transmittance, such as botanical gardens or swimming pools.

The ETFE foil used from Guarniflon S.p.a. is characterized by high durability and resistance to weather conditions. In the project in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, the foil was used to create two elongated pillows that are stretched on the steel roof frame of the building. This solution not only increases the aesthetic charm of the facility, but also ensures excellent lighting conditions inside.

ETFE cushions are a great solution for places where the maximum amount of natural light is important. Thanks to the high transparency of the foil, sunlight is effectively transmitted, which is particularly beneficial for swimming pools and other relaxation areas. Additionally, the air supply system keeps the pillows in appropriate tension, which guarantees their durability and appropriate shape.
