Scope: Construction and Executive Design
In 2017 in Warsaw, at ul. Skalnicowa 21, the construction and executive project of roofing the terrace of the “Double Tree by Hilton Warsaw Conference Center & SPA” hotel was completed. The aim of this project was to create a functional and aesthetic roof that would increase the comfort of guests using the hotel terrace all year round.
The terrace roof has an area of approximately 438 m2 and was designed as a year-round membrane roof, supported by steel frames. A PVC membrane with PES fibers was used for this purpose, which is resistant to weather conditions and ensures the durability of the structure. The roof structure was attached to the existing hotel structure using tension beams and placed on foundation footings. The maximum dimensions of the roof are 46.8 m x 11.53 m and the maximum height of the structure is approximately 5.09 m. The project also provides for a drainage system consisting of holes integrated in the structure.
