Amphitheater located in the Park. Żermina Składkowska in Turku is a modern structure that will serve residents and visitors as a place for cultural meetings and outdoor entertainment from 2022. The implementation of this project was a response to the need to create a space that would enable the organization of various events throughout the year, regardless of weather conditions.
The design of the amphitheater is based on a modern membrane roof with an area of 427 m², which extends over the audience and the stage. This roof is made of FLEXLIGHT ADVANCED 1002 – WHITE FLUORINATED 8636S2 material, which is known for its resistance to weather conditions and excellent durability. This material, thanks to its properties, provides protection against sun, rain and other external factors, which makes the amphitheater functional all year round.
The supporting structure of the roof consists of a steel frame and steel columns, which ensures the stability and safety of the entire structure. The membrane stretched over this structure not only protects users, but also serves as a load-bearing element, which is a modern solution in membrane architecture. The roof has been designed to maximize the use of space, reaching dimensions of approximately 33.43 m x 31.77 m with a maximum structure height of approximately 5.49 m.
The scope of work performed by Abastran Sp. z o. o., included the development of a workshop design for a roof and foundation, delivery of a steel structure and installation of a membrane covering with a rope system.
