Year – 2018
Location – Lidzbark Warmiński, Poland
Area – 590 m²
Material – PVC Membrane
Structure – Abastran sp. z o.o.
Scope – General contractor
In 2018, Abastran Sp. z o.o. completed the amphitheatre roofing project as the general contractor, located on the boulevards along the Łyna River in Lidzbark Warmiński. The facility, situated on a natural slope, was designed to blend harmoniously with the riverside landscape.
PVC membranes with a total area of 590 m² were stretched over a steel structure made of bent profiles, designed by Abastran Sp. z o.o. The shape of the roof covers both the stage and part of the audience area, lowering towards the river, which emphasizes the natural topography and gives the structure a sense of lightness. The roofing serves as protection against weather conditions, ensuring comfort for participants of cultural events held in this space.
The roofing was made using a PVC membrane and bent steel profiles forming the supporting structure.
The main function of the roofing is to protect the stage and audience from adverse weather conditions while maintaining the open character of the space.
The roofing is based on a steel structure made of bent profiles, which allowed the PVC membrane to be stretched over the stage and audience area. The structure descends towards the river, blending into the surroundings.
The roofing covers an area of 590 m².
The PVC membrane is highly resistant to external factors and does not require specialist maintenance beyond standard technical inspections.
The greatest challenge was adapting the form of the roofing to the natural slope of the terrain and ensuring proper drainage and structural stability within the varying topography of the boulevards along the Łyna River.
