Terrace Roof in Brenna

In 2017 a terrace roof project was carried out in Brenna covering an area of 36 m². The project shows how modern structural and material solutions can be applied not only on large investments but also on smaller, private ones such as a family home terrace.

The roof was made of PVC membrane with PES fibers, which provides strength, durability and weather resistance. Its structure rests on a single steel mast, two tie rods, and additionally on a reinforced concrete element with a tensioning beam. The whole is complemented by gabions integrated with the reinforced concrete structure, giving the project a unique and attractive appearance. In plan view the roof has maximum dimensions of slightly over 8 m, with a maximum height of about 3.5 m.
