Membrane Curtain Wall of the Amphitheater Grojec – Żywiec

In 2015, the structural design of a membrane curtain wall was delivered for the Amphitheater Grojec in Żywiec. The project complemented the existing roofing and was intended to provide additional protection from weather conditions and to improve the internal acoustics of the facility.

The 237 m² curtain wall was made of PVC membrane, characterised by high UV resistance and durability. The supporting structure was fabricated from closed circular steel profiles providing stability to the entire system, and the membrane was properly tensioned and shaped to maintain the required form and operating parameters.
