Concept for ETFE Membrane Skylights at the Coal Mining Museum in Zabrze

We developed a design for membrane skylights made of pneumatic ETFE cushions for the hangar of the Coal Mining Museum.

Filling the 90 x 450 cm skylights with transparent pneumatic cushions made of ETFE membrane provides excellent daylight transmission and high thermal insulation, while keeping the structure lightweight. The whole project fits the industrial character of the facility, combining modern technology with the functionality of the exhibition space.
