Covered Walkway at the Auchan Shopping Center

In 2018, a new Factory Gliwice center was opened in Gliwice next to the Auchan shopping center. To provide customers with a comfortable passage between the two facilities regardless of weather conditions, a covered walkway protected by a membrane was designed and built.

The 168 m² roof was built in the form of a structure of seven steel frames with a single-surface membrane spanned between them. Varied mounting heights of the membrane give the whole a dynamic, three-dimensional form. Stability is provided by additional longitudinal bracing and a rectangular truss at the driveway location, improving the safety and stiffness of the system.
