In 2018, a new Factory Gliwice Center was built in Gliwice next to the Auchan shopping center. To allow customers to move comfortably between the two shopping centers regardless of weather conditions, a covered connection point covered with a membrane was designed and built.
The roof of the connector with an area of 168 m² consists of seven steel frames, between which a single-layer membrane is stretched. What makes this structure unique is the use of different membrane mounting heights, which give the entire structure a complex and aesthetically pleasing spatial shape. Additional struts in the longitudinal direction and a rectangular framework at the intersection ensure additional stability and safety of the structure.
For the construction of the connecting roof, steel frames and a special membrane were used, which is resistant to weather conditions and ensures durability and aesthetics of the structure.
The covered connection allows safe and comfortable movement between the Auchan shopping center and the Factory Gliwice Center, regardless of weather conditions.
