In 2023, a modern roofing for the stage of the open-air amphitheatre was completed in Stanisław Staszic Park in Czarnków, executed by Abastran Sp. z o.o.

Year: 2023
Location: Czarnków, Poland
Area: 870 m²
Material: PTFE
Structure: Abastran Sp. z o.o.
Scope: Supply, installation, design
The roofing of the amphitheatre stage was designed to harmoniously fit into the park’s landscape. The structure’s form references the organic shapes of the square and the natural line of the audience area, creating a light yet impressive space for outdoor events.
For this project, a PTFE membrane was used — a material known for its exceptional durability, resistance to weather conditions and UV radiation, and self-cleaning properties. The 870 m² membrane was stretched over arched steel trusses, allowing for the desired span and stability of the structure.
The roofing was made using a PTFE membrane and arched steel trusses.
The main purpose is to protect the amphitheatre stage from weather conditions while maintaining an open and aesthetically pleasing character of the space.
The roofing was stretched over arched steel trusses, and its form reflects the natural, organic lines of the park and the audience area.
The roofing covers an area of 870 m².
The PTFE membrane has self-cleaning properties and is highly resistant to external factors, thus requiring minimal maintenance.
The challenge was to combine a large span with an elegant, lightweight form and to adapt the structure to the organic layout of the park’s terrain.
